Project description
To develop capacity on gender and peace in the region using a three pronged process which would entail: (1) Engagement with UNSCR 1325 (building the capacity of participating organizations and their constituencies to lobby and advocate for the implementation of the resolution but also to challenge the participating organization to promote the participation of women in their own peace enhancing processes; (2) The introduction and use of the Tamar Campaign as a tool for churches to address the issue of GBV in their context; (3) Capacity development of both the participants and the host organisations thus creating a pool of resource competence on gender and peace in the region.
